NOW HUG YOURSELF. Give yourself the biggest, tightest, most loving HUG. (like you are hugging the love of your life) Breathe inside this hug. Feel the warmth of your arms, the support you are giving yourself. Feel the safety within your arms. Say out loud, "I forgive you, YOUR NAME. I release you from unforgiveness, YOUR NAME." (I know it may feel silly, but loving yourself will feel silly and uncomfortable at first)
NOW KISS YOURSELF. (really, and mean it) Fall in love with yourself. (you are not becoming a narcissist) Relinquish judgement. KISS yourself twenty times. BASK IN THE LOVE within YOU. Breathe it all in for sixty seconds. (this might feel like eternity the first time) Slowly place your hands on your heart. Feel your heart beat. It's strong. You are strong. You are a well of love. Your entire being is love. You are love. You are loved. With your hands still placed on your heart center, say out loud, "I am love. I am loved. I LOVE YOU, YOUR NAME." Repeat it three times. Really hear what you are saying to yourself.
Take a journal out. Date the entry. Jot down any thoughts, feelings you may have. As you practice forgiveness and hugging & kissing yourself, the whole exercise will feel effortless. Just give it some time. I believe in you. If I can do it, you can do it. Sometimes I hug myself while I'm driving stuck in LA traffic, sometimes I kiss myself in the shower. It feels good. Good silly. I pat myself on the back and say "Good job, Kiki. You are doing your best. Good job." Try it, what do you gotta lose? We can't wait for people to hug, kiss and love on us. It all begins with the SELF.
