A fellow mom and actress messaged me on Instagram. She shared her frustration as a mom of two kids trying to pursue her dream of acting. She asked me how I juggle parenting so well since she always puts her kids first. My first reaction was "Really? I do?" So I filmed this video and wrote this in response to her question! Here are the exercises I practice to STAY IN LOVE WITH MYSELF (sounds corny? Just think of all the corny, cheesy stuff you did for the love of your life)! Believe it or not, we are always meditating!!! When you are worrying, you are meditating on destructive, negative thoughts. When you are happy, you are meditating on happy and positive, life giving thoughts. We all have a choice! So make it a good one!
Below I share a meditation free mp3 download link. This meditation is quick, easy to do and amazing! I stumbled upon it last night at 2am. I started doing it and within moments I was knocked out, in deep sleep and relaxation. Don't we all wish we can sleep like that more often?
I felt "fat for an Asian" for a lot of years in my life. Thirteen long years to be exact. That's like over a decade. For most of my teenage years and twenties when I was suppose to be having fun being wild and free, I was instead dealing with two auto-immune diseases, had nine packs of blood transfusion at the Children's Hospital and well on my way to developing a binge eating disorder and severe depression.
NOW HUG YOURSELF. Give yourself the biggest, tightest, most loving HUG. (like you are hugging the love of your life) Breathe inside this hug. Feel the warmth of your arms, the support you are giving yourself. Feel the safety within your arms. Say out loud, "I forgive you, YOUR NAME. I release you from unforgiveness, YOUR NAME." (I know it may feel silly, but loving yourself will feel silly and uncomfortable at first)
Forgiveness is key to living a happy and fulfilling life. Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting. It just means you let go of the transgression and release the person and situation. You relinquish judgement. Forgiving yourself is just as crucial as forgiving others who have hurt you in the past. Watch the video!
Pray! Prayer works. Listen. Breathe Deeply. Then Listen some more. Sit in the uncomfortable silence.....get comfortable in it. Harder said than done! But nothing worthwhile comes easy right?!

About me: It took me fifteen years to overcome the aftermath of my autoimmune diseases (I was wheeled into the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and hooked onto an oxygen tank immediately, given nine packs of blood transfusion and my blood count kept dropping). The doctors had no idea why I was dying. This lead to ten years of fatigue, depression and binge eating. I was suicidal, bitter and slowly killing myself with food, cigarettes, among other toxic situations. I had no energy for anything. I was a sad and lonely human being, but in my heart I knew I was capable of more. I knew I can be healthy again, but I just didn't know how to get healthy. Since I was bedridden all the time, I started searching for answers. I searched and researched and read dozen upon dozen of self-help books. I taught myself how to read the Bible. I listened to hours and hours of inspirational coaches and pastors podcasts and attended seminars. I healed myself of my auto-immune dis-eases and started living the life I desire.
This year, I finally came to the conclusion that it's time for me to share my journey of self-love and healing with the world. And also, I really don't see another Asian American woman inspirational spirit coach/guru/speaker out there. I love Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Oprah, but they are not Asian! I am here to represent. This blog will include my experience as an immigrant, a mom, an actress, a healer and producer/writer/creator of my one woman show "Second Chances For Grace." I am so happy to be free from the past and I get to share the wisdom I gained with you! Read more for a free exercise.
